A birthday without the message loop
Ask guests for the day before you pay for a venue, but do not leave the poll open forever.
Birthdays drag on when the host wants to please everyone. Two options are enough: one weekday evening and one weekend, or two Saturdays in a row.
Invite the core group first. When they have answered, lock the day and send the calendar booking. A wider invite can follow, because a casual guest rarely decides the date.
Diets, gift wishes and dress code belong in the description, not in a new poll. Write the place and address in advance so the confirmation is useful immediately.
If the party is at a restaurant, book the table right after the lock. If it is at home, say when the door opens so nobody arrives in the middle of the setup.
Sopisiko keeps the birthday as one event: times, answers, confirmation. The old planning does not linger and mix with the next party.
